Crappy boss,

Crappy job syndrome.......

Same old, same old...

You wake up, your first thought is, "Uggh, I have to go THERE again". You drag yourself through the shower, savour your morning coffee as an escape and arrive 1 minute before 9.

At work, your standard response is "no" and you take a lot of "time out" for Facebook updates. You spend a lot of time discussing faults in people, and your day is a challenge of "get to 5 o'clock and I'm out of here"!

Each day follows a similar pattern. Until you reach the weekend and you are FREE! Thank God it's Friday!

I AM GOING TO CHALLENGE YOU HERE

As creatures of habit, I am suggesting that you are creating this world. You have reinforced this world and all that comes as a result.

Our brains are BOMBARDED by information - ALL the time. In order for us to cope, our brains use a filtering system. That system makes it easy for us to recognise the things we know and don't need to decipher and puts them top of our awareness. Humans have evolved to be higher thinkers by being able to segment information. This enables us not to overthink and to see the same things everyday without consciously thinking about them.

When your boss comes to you and says, "I've got a new project I'd like you to be a part of", your first response is, "seen it all before". When your boss asks you to amend a deadline, your first thought is, "putting me under pressure again". Now, consider if the project was actually your idea that is now being implemented and the deadline has been pushed out.

Take off your glasses

What would happen if you saw your work through a new set of glasses? What would life be like for you if you were pleased to be of service, pleased to be part of a team and felt good about your input? Would you be LIVING 7 days a week instead of 2?

If you're reading this, you can probably see this in yourself or in other people. This is NOT about you being told off. It's about raising awareness.

Learning how to see differently is a wonderful skill. The world looks a whole lot different yet little has changed. The change is your view. The result is your output. The benefit is the feedback you receive. The opportunity is to generate the best positive feedback to yourself.

Choose to live - 7 days a week.

The Mojo Factory is about connection. We are living in the most disconnected world now. With a dose of happiness, we build resilience. Imagine that.......
