Spring rain - beautiful drizzle, refreshing sprinkle, new life, cleansing , with flowers to follow.

Except at traffic lights with no umbrella.
Let's talk umbrella etiquette. Amazingly, umbrellas are ineffective at diverting rain when being used under verandas or shop fronts, and I've been frowning at city people that are oblivious to this. I've also been hoping not to lose an eye! My sense of moral decency and common sense on show here.
So, imagine my absolute delight when an umbrella wielding person makes eye contact with me, and whilst sporting the biggest umbrella I've seen all day, smiles at me and slides on over. No more standing in the rain with my little hoodie on, waiting for the green walk person whilst I become wetter and wetter.
Sometimes we have something small to give, something we can share and we do it. I think umbrella rescuer is feeling pretty darned fine, and what lasted with me today was the simple kindness that I was shown. Read into it that I felt valued, appreciated and important - one simple act. One small act. Less than one minute. It's not about the umbrella is it?
